This guide offers information on four different methods of community consultation and tries to help along the process of preparing, conducting and analysing these consultations. The information presented in this guide can be used to facilitate the consultations, yet the conductor is free to choose which method is best used and how.

Group foto regional hub workshop East Africa, Participants of the Regional Hub Workshop for East Africa
On the 7th and 8th of May 2015, ForumCC (Tanzania) organized a workshop to launch the East Africa Regional Hub under the Adaptation Fund NGO Network. The goal of the regional hub is to support civil society and government actors in East Africa in processes regarding the Adaptation Fund (AF). The Regional Hub will also take over the role of encouraging members of the AF NGO Network in East Africa to participate in AF NGO Network activities. Similar Regional Hubs will be set up in Southern Africa, West Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America and Asia/Pacific over the next years. Cover Baseline Mappings
Insights from Cambodia, Honduras, Jamaica, Kenya, Senegal, South Africa and Tanzania
Seven Adaptation Fund NGO Network Partner have prepared Baseline Mappings describing the state of the Adaptation Fund project in their respective countries as well as outlining the overall climate change adaptation landscape. The Baseline Mappings all provide detailed insights into the countries' work on adaptation and thus serve as a ideal basis for a comparative analysis.

Cover Implementations for AF
There are discussions among some developing countries concerned with the lack of resources available for the AF, as well as in the Adaptation Fund Board. One theoretical option might be to re-designate the AF as an operating entity of the financial mechanism, which has been discussed during COP18. In response to the query, this paper briefly describes the available options how to do this and its potential merits and limits, both in terms of its practicality but also the political desirability and implications on the governance arrangements related to the AF Board.

First Pan-African Workshop to support domestic institutions accessing climate finance
From 1st to 4th July the CDKN, Heinrich Boell Foundation, NEMA – the National Environment Management Authority of Kenya and the Secretariat of the Adaptation Fund (AF) organized a workshop that brought together existing and prospective accredited agencies under the Adaptation Fund (AF) and practitioners and experts of domestic climate change funds.
