A newsletter dedicated to the activities of the AF NGO Network and around the implemented projects is published regularly. The AF NGO Network also publishes Reports on Adaptation Fund Board meetings, its activities in Doha and other AF material from its Network members.

Regional Hub Workshop for South East Asia

On the 12th and 13th of August 2015, the NGO Forum on Cambodia organized a workshop to launch the South East Asia Regional Hub under the Adaptation Fund NGO Network. The goal of the regional hub is to support civil society and government actors in South East Asia in processes regarding the Adaptation Fund (AF). The Regional Hub will also take over the role of encouraging members of the AF NGO Network in South East Asia to participate in AF NGO Network activities. Similar Regional Hubs will be set up in East Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa, the Caribbean and Central America over the next years. Bonn session: Paving the way to Paris

The Bonn Climate talks held from 01 to 11 June addressed the 42nd session of UNFCCC Subsidiary bodies and the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Durban Platform for Enhanced Action (ADP). Based on the draft negotiation text produced at the Geneva session in February 2015, lining out options and elements for the Paris agreement, the Bonn June session was specifically focused on revising and consolidating the text. During the session modest progress was made and there are less than seven months left for negotiators to speed up their efforts to slim down the draft text for a new global climate deal due in Paris in December. >> more

From April 9–10 2014, the 25th meeting of the Adaptation Fund Board (AFB), the operating body of the Adaptation Fund established under the Kyoto Protocol, was held in Bonn, Germany. Two days prior to the meeting, the members of the two committees of the board, the Ethics and Finance Committee (EFC) and the Project and Programme Review Committee (PPRC) met for their 16th meeting respectively, to prepare specific recommendations for the AFB, along the mandate that has been assigned to them. >> more
